Once
upon a time in Rochester, N.Y., Gary Voleshen and
Chris Nau belonged to an auto club that did not serve
what they considered to be their needs (too political
/ not about cars). As they discussed their ideal situation
Gary casually spoke the words that forever changed
the local landscape, "WHY DON'T WE FORM OUR OWN
CLUB". With this decision they began to assemble
other Mopar people who felt the same. In early January,
2004, a group consisting of Gary,Chris, Jack Barry,
Jim Acker, Ken Hale, and Pete Buhan met at the Churchville
Family Restaurant to decide what we wanted in a club.
Taking these ideas Chris Nau wrote an early draft
of the club bylaws. In February, 2004, at Chris' home
the group met again (Ken Hale was absent, Ron Delvaux,
who was involved from the start but missed the first
meeting, attended). The bylaws were reviewed and changes
were recommended. In early March, 2004, the entire
group met at Best Burger (in Irondequoit) for the
first official meeting. The bylaws were ratified and
officers were elected as follows: President=Chris
Nau, Vice President= Gary Voleshen, Vice President=
Ken Hale, Secretary= Ron Delvaux Media Manager= Ron
Delvaux. Within 4 months the club expanded to be the
Rochester areas largest Mopar club giving creedance
to the belief that a clubs strength is in its membership
and their diversity.
